I have noticed that the water class textures displayed in SBuilderX preview is a different hue to that which I can save.
While trying to blend my coastlines with the ocean textures smoothly I have been using the same class texture as the water class tiles in the surrounding ocean.
For example I select a water class in SBuilderX with the water class tool and cover the area I am working on, then I use the same water class texture from FSX scenery folder in my ground texture coastlines and blend it out gradually.
But even though I am using the same water class texture, the hue is different than what SbuilderX and FSX displays.
So I used the SBuilderX texture preview of the class texture and took a screenshot, still it does not save the screenshot the same color.
It appears to add a little more to the red channel.
My thoughts are that there may be another colorizing of the texture happening that is not in the image information itself, which would explain why even when capturing and saving the texture the hue is different.
Has anyone else noticed this and can you enlighten me on what is going on?
Also is there a way I can add my own water class texture without replacing one of the defaults? Reason being that I don't want the texture being changed by programs such as REX2.
