• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

SbuilderX314 won't compile any polygons

My copy of SbuilderX314 (and before X313 had the same problem) can not find anything to compile when only polygons are selected.

Lines, landclass, maps. etc. is OK, only polygons are problem.

For testing I created a single polygon, made it Exclude_Alll_Terrain_Items (and whatever you select)

Then after selecting the polygon, I hit the compile button, in the dialog "Select Type of Scenery" none of the types are checked (nor can be checked).

What is the problem of mine ?

Thanks in advance.

I made that test to find out if there is any problem. I have version 3.13 running here but you said the effect is the same with both versions.
So I initialized a new project by giving it a "Project Name" and an existing "BGL Folder".
Added a polygon type "Exclude_Alll_Terrain_Items".

You then have to go to the pointer mode (the white arrow) and select the complete polygon, don´t miss a point otherwise it does not work.
When going to BGL Compile you see the following window which allows me to compile.

Yes, exactly I am doing the same, but the result is this, I think something is missing with the setup of my SbuilderX, or some addon of my computer, or maybe the ini file.
I do not make a mistake of the method descrived.

That is really strange. Two more things which we could check:

  1. The region setting of your PC is English ore Turkey? I always set my region settings to English because otherwise compiling fails in different programs. Don´t know, if it is also the case for SBuilder, it is just an idea
  2. Next thing are the FSX Settings of SBuilderX, what is configured in your SBuilderX? See my settings below. FSX is installed at drive F which is an extra SSD.

Thank you so much, jdberg. Problem was "Turkish". Now it is US English, and I see it work for the first time ! :)
I had suffered from this before with another program, how I had forgotten.

There is an ongoing issue for some utilities that don't take account of the settings for different countries. One of the most common is the decimal separator. Unfortunately we all get caught out sooner or later
