• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

SBX paths

Hello

(Sorry, due to a wrong click, this post had first been sent to SceneGenX forum).

I have many SBX projects using maps from files and tiles.
On my PC, tiles are in the default SBX tile folder, and pics in a C:\...\images folder.

I have to travel and use SBX on a laptop; I have no space enough to transfer all those pics on the laptop. I can copy them on an external USB device (disk or key).
How can I tell SBX to find tiles and pics in given folders?

Thanks for help.

Hello,

Unfortunately the path to the "Tiles Folder" can not be adjusted. It is a fixed folder under the SBuilderX main folder.

However if you are considering to save all your tiles in an external disk why do not you save the SBuilderX root folder and all its child folders? After all the big sized folders should be the ones containing the cached tiles.

Kind Regards,

Luis

Thanks for answer.
If I understood correctly, I save a copy of whole SBX on external disk?
No need to reinstall? Maybe some paths will need to be adjusted in the ini file.

Considering a former question I asked you about display of background pics, did you analyze the method of Scruffy Duck in latest ADEH? It seems user may check every pic to be displayed or masked. It would be very confortable to switch between a satellite pic and a TMF pic for instance.
