• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Aaron you have offered me work many many times but but nothing ever happened, neither have i heard anything about any of the projects you was asking me to work on

Most of them were
a) Lack of source data
b) Project no longer required, due to legal reasons (airport permission) or market demand or competition.

But this one already has contracts signed with a publisher so it will go ahead.

Then maybe I could help out, im sure you remember how I work:

payed an amount before i begin the job
payed another amount when its half done
payed the rest when its finished

Thats interesting.. what do you mean Airport permission. Is it exact copy of real airport made from real world drawings (as in my case) and Replicates all of functionality inside and outside e.t.c ?
Even Airport that I have doesn't require Airport Permission to publish it for the "game" that's a joke..
The only permission is the visual data, photography and it is free if photos of airport wont be used for commercial purposes and you let know airport administration about the action of filming.
In site photography is also allowed and mostly costs some money as you need to be accompanied with member of staff, you still cannot enter certain areas of site.

Now All those Photos taken by you or other people on the web are not going to be published or republished on other sources, every Photo-Art is recreated by pen and pencil (3ds max tools) so nothing original is used for commerce. And in most cases geometry (Polygons) are made the same way.. Bing maps, Google.. and Photos.. Nothing Exact and functional replica. Because of so it is Fiction ! Why I would need to obtain the some kind of Permission for Fiction...?

To my opinion the lack isnt the permission, but some kind of bullSh**.

By the Way How much do you pay. I ask Because I have Four People awaiting my answer to their Application with CVs and Portfolios with 5-10 years Experiance in 3DS MAX LOW and High Polys.. The only trouble for you might be is that they are Russian Speaking and as per their statement ( Technical English ).

FSFox,

If the airport says "No" to such project, then as a developer we have to abide by it, its like if someone wanted to model your house you might want to say no for any reason and the developer should not do it, but if you did say no and the developer did build your house anyway, you would be pretty P****d right?

This happened to me with Saskatoon because they were undergoing construction, yes I thought it was a silly excuse but I listened to them...but I know most the community didn't like me for listening to them.

There's a few aircraft manufactures that dont allow their aircraft to be modeled for FS use, for what ever reason, we as scenery/aircraft developers have to abide by their rules

Aviasim, ok got your point. If Fiction film that made on fiction story of some fiction person's life looks very and very close even some episodes exact to my life then I got to say NO to Hollywood film maker. ??? LOL
By the way do and follow your rules and believes and I will do mine.

Now By law of Photography as one of the strictest laws in arts:

you take a snap in public place of famous buildings and unknown people around and use them Commercially unless there is nothing against people's privacy (having bathroom as example).

Bud, read the Law of Photography and Arts of EU/UK. A good summary of photo law in the UK can be found here.
And I guess if it was some kind of incident happened with you, you simply were unable to protect yourself and your art. Just scared of courts (lack of law knowledge) and correctly hooked tongue to politely ask for code or chapter in law and then distribute this between us Developers.. All that you said is a dust at least for now.
Sorry with a great respect to you I had to say that.

Folks

This thread seems to be running way off track. We have gone from someone asking for developers to discussing the legal situation around photographs.

It seems to me that if you wish to contact the OP to express an interest then you can do that via email otherwise there is not much that should be in this thread.

Look at my avatar pic, I know law.

All what you said means nothing to me, as far as Im concerned if airport authorities say no then that means no, not do it anyway.

I will rather listen to them than people who want such airport and therefore argue if the developer chooses to listen to authority.

I dont care what the law says about it, I am listening to the airport as the law would just say "it is entirely up to them/architect who designed the original airport".

I do know law probably better than you, besides, if we used law, many users will over-ride website rules for example, such as swearing for example, on this forum it isnt allowed neither are you allowed to speak a foreign language, the law says speak any language you feel most comfortable with, forum rules say speak only english, and we all do because that is what they want/rule.

You dont have a leg to stand on and like scruffyduck says, its gone from me negotiating with AWG Sim, to you commenting about photography and rules etc, me and AWG sim have stopped airports because they said no, it is our call and decision not yours so there is also no need for your comment.

Why don't you make the Gulfstream G6? I know you won't because Gulfstream does not want their aircraft being replicated for flight simulator use, though it is a public transport vehicle, law says public photography etc is fine, but Gulfstream say no, and there is still not any half decent Gulfstream G6 out their, again, because Gulfstream has asked nicely for it to not be replicated!.

End of discussion!
