• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello

I having been working on some scenery with ADX to improve an airfield. I had installed a scenery of Kandahar Airfield then i decided that i wanted to improve on the airfield..so i started working with ADX. The scenery that shows up in the middle of what i have redone, inside of FSX does not show up in ADX. I even went as far as to see what the stock FSX Kandahar airfiled would show inside FSX, and yep...this other scenery shows up on that too. Now i have deleted every thing i could think in addon scenery that is possibly related to this other scenery, and went through the other folders in fsx for trace elements possibly left over, and im at my wits end as to why this other scenery still shows up in FSX,whether its the stock airfield or my mod and yet i cant see it in ADX.

Might anyone have any ideas as to what i need to do to find or get rid of this scenery in the middle of my scenery (airfield mod)?

Did you use an installer (.exe) to install this other scenery, or did you place it in the game manually?

My first suggestion would be to de-activate "Addon Scenery" in your scenery library, and re-test, to see if this fixes the problem. You might be missing something. If this doesn't help, the only other place I can think to look is in the root scenery folder, on the off chance some files were placed here.

ADEX does not override other scenery information. The work you were doing likely only affected the airport surfaces themselves. Any other scenery in the area will display on top of your airport as long as they are not deleted or excluded.

On your suggestion i decided to check the folders one more time...after a while of doing that i found the .bgl files on the scenery i didnt want, in all places, within another addon scenery folder. I must of accidentally copied them into this other scenery by mistake.

But all is good now.
