• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Jon,

Is there a way that we can use the connect and read to fill in the parameters for LatNW, LatSE, LonNW, LonSE? Also I think the LatNW & LatSE are going to latitudeMaximum & latitudeMinimum and should be min & max. Sure am enjoying your tools.:) Thanks

Versions:
Application 00.83.2706
Engine 01.12.2705
CommonLib 01.03.2664

Thanks Bill

Not at the moment. I plan to change the way that SDE handles exclusion rectangles but it will probably be implemented via ADE first then SDE. The program should automatically reverse wrongly arranged coordinates so that the exclusion rectangle will compile and work.

Jon,

As a work around I am using a temporary marker object and copying and pasting the values into the ExclusionRectangle parameters.

Thanks Bill

That's great, because I think many people make the mistake of thinking the Minimum Latitude is the easternmost latitude line, when in actuality it is the westernmost.

"Westernhemisphero-centric" I suppose... :)

Until Jon has it all in order I use exclude builder for FSX found here on the forum. Does all the correct lat/lon for you.

Just slew the plane around the reference point and it makes the exclude for the XML. I then just copy out the data and place it in my master xml.

Hello

To read and fill coordinates in any program that needs, you can use JAB_FSX (free pn JAB site) ; clic on lat / long buttons will change display to all usual formats before copy.
