• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum

P3D v4 Seaplanes on board ships

A couple of years ago I successfully placed seaplanes on catapaults on cruisers and battleships in FSX(A) in Windows 7 64 bit using Carrier Convoy Planner. I used RCBCO30 to fire the cat' but another user told me how to use Model Converter X and attach cat start and cat end onto the catapaults and use the sim's catapault commands. I hadn't done that at the time but now using Prepar3D V4.5 I am going to again. I am asking here if it's possible to attach a winch to the crane on the ship and hoist the landed seaplane back onto the catapault. It was NOT possible to do in FSX. Only helos could have a winch attached. Anyone know if it can be done in Model Converter X to attach it to a ship crane?
