• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS Show position in MSFS

Hello
I have discovered how to add a fuel point parking spot in MSFS and the Lat/long position is shown in ADE fine.
But how to I display a position in MSFS so I know where it needs to go ?
Your help on my first question much appreciated....it will not be the last !

If you are using ADE alpha 19 then it supports two way editing (in ADE and Dev Mode) Thus you can see where items in ADE are placed in sim. For more information probably best to ask in the forum for ADE 2020 https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/forums/airport-design-editor-for-msfs-2020.160/

In Dev Mode \ Options \ Rendering \ Display position .... are you referring to this?

Still fighting with alpha 18......so I will leave 19 for a little while ! I am using the AC icon generated by FSUIPC to help with locating an item in the Sim. I have tried the slew mode to move the AC about but with a dab on a key the AC shoots off to the other side of the airfield ! How is the slew sensitivity adjusted (slowed down) please ?
Another thing. At present, can ADE remove scenery objects such as trees and inactive fuelling points, perhaps with exclude polygons. ?

You will need to experiment. Section 9 of the pdf notes for ADE 2020 covers the different methods to exclude and what appears to work or not
