• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS Slingsby T31 Manometer - cannot get vario code to work

I am new to modelling in MSFS and my Slingsby T31 is the first aircraft that I have built from the ground up. It's a vanity trip down memory lane to when I made my A&B certs as a cadet back in '65, inspired by Glidesimmer67's beautiful K7, and if I can complete it satisfactorily it will go onto flightsim.to for free dowload. It has been a steep learning curve and I am not familiar with the coding beyond much plagiarisation. Everything is working except for the Manometer which is displaying ft/min as a VSI not ft/sec as a vario. She flies quite well from faded memory but will need some expert opinion when the time comes!

My internal .xml file is attached (as txt) and there are a number of rem'd out code blocks under Interior Animations... Varios where I have tried initially to get the gauge_netto_needle working on a VSI I created for reference but without success. I hoped to use the code for the Manometer which can be found under the Behaviours and in Blender I suppress the Keyings of the green ball for any keys below 50% and for the red ball above 50%.

Can anyone see where I am going wrong and help me with coding for the manometer?

SOLVED! I adapted the code found in the beautiful Schleicher K7 - with acknowledgement to GlideSimmer67 - and a few tweaks/ideas from other gliders. It's still imtermittently jittery but I have something now to work with.

Klem sorry I haven't visited this site in a while and didn't see your post. I wrote the animation/instrument code in the K7 and will help you with the T31 if that's useful. If you PM me on here we'll be able to exchange email addresses or something..
