After finally getting the proper SDK up and running with other basic tools I tried my first experiment with FSX_KML. I thought I'd start with a simple airport project between Fulton, Ark. and Hope, Ark. I followed the tutorial, created a poly to flatten the airport area and got some amuzing but incorrect results. I wound up with a mesa about 360ft high covering about 2 sq miles. It got rid of the trees, but affected the scenery as far away as Texarkana (leaving only a vague strip at KTXK), also removing the traffic there. I turned off the add-on scenery to get thing back to normal. Question 1: Will just removing the BGL from that add-on folder let me start over? Question 2: What is the significance of the other files created and deposited in the temporary folder I created (.shp .shx .dbf .xml) Question 3: If they are not needed, why are they there? Just for the "build?" Should I set up something else as my "output folder?" Obviously I'm new to this. It took me months to get this far, but I intend to learn--with help. I'm only just now beginning to grok some of the terminology. Thanks.
