• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Stock airport (LFPG) not compiling

I wanted to add an aircraft code at 1 gate but would not compile in 1.39 Beta.
In fact it wouldn't compile without changing anything!
Faults in the FSX stock airport?

cattz

this airport should still compile a bgl,
the faults showing should be the Boundary_fence_vertex,
this is because part of the Boundary fence is outside of the Test Radius (5000m)
you can make the test radius larger if you wish so this error doesn't show,
In fact if you run "fault finder" you will get Gate_S 22 unconnected and 14 Hold Short problems,
but it will still compile a BGL

It compiles fine. The only warnings are for the boundary fence, part of which is outside the Test Radius.

PS. The hold-shorts will be ok since they are on taxiways at an angle to the runway.

OK. So why do I get this:

thank you for the pic:)

That's what we just explained.......
that part is outside the test radius (the red circle)
pan out and you will see it

To avoid such warnings increase the airport test radius value in Airport Properties so that the whole airport is included. ADE draws a red circle that represents the area covered by the test radius. As mentioned above the report shows WARNINGS and the airport will compile.

Thanks Guys. My oooops! Compiling that ADE took longer than I expected ( it's a big airport, isn't it )so I thought there was a problem. All is as it should be. Sorry for the panic!!!! :ziplip:
