• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSXA Strange texture problem

Not sure if this is right place for question
This just deals with the stock FSX aircraft b747_400 textures. When i come into airport say KMCO cargo parking, I see all planes(stock 747) with texture, then in another view the plane just lose all color.
All the other stock aircraft B737_800, Airbus_A321 still have theirs.

Any ideas???

Didn't work I changed the .cfg file , acted the same way. If I change to another 747 while still at airport I get a white one ,but if i change to a different a/c it look normal just the 747's are white...

I had this issue twice, first time it was a corrupted texture file in an add-on aircraft. I had to remove 1 at a time to determine the culprit.

The 2nd time it was the 'complexity' settings of the sim itself. Basically the resource use of FSX was walking on itself due to all max sliders. I had to tone it down to get the textures to appear.
This was specifically the B747 aircraft, regardless of livery, and only happened at the major airports where more custom objects are.

If I recall, I had messed with the anti-aliasing, but dont hold me to that being the fix. I will check later tonight for the solution I used. I was able to replicate the issue and the fix on que.

I've adjusted ,copied the aircraft from another my pc, and here is what I get. See Pic
Also does the texture even look right, seems to be out of focus (on the one that has texture)?

Its a setting of FSX. What are your settings right now?

What graphics card do you use? If it is Nvidia, do you use Inspector to set the settings for FSX?

Both of those planes have textures, I assume you are talking about the closer of the two?

The one in back is the plain white B747 and you will see it as AI parked in Cargo spots.

The Global looks as if you are not seeing the top mipmap. Try zooming in real close, then back out.

Aircraft having texture display issues could indicate you are pushing your PC too hard, try backing off the sliders a bit.

cheers,
Lane

What I was saying is that when I came in the white 747 had the Orbit texture, then it went white along with all the other 747's.
None of the 737's or A-321 lost their texture.
I tried moving sliders but no change.
