• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi guys,

Haven't been posting quite often, this is my second post. I thought I'd share some first shots of TNCM Sunset bar with you. I have been working on the sunset bar for quite a while now. Because i am very busy at lawschool at the moment it will probably take a while before i have something that i can upload. Hope you guys like the shots. Please give me some feedback, it's my first gmax project. I am trying to remake the resorts (caravanerai and sonesta) and the airport, including the radar station, as well. Also the road in front of the runway will be rebuild. Don't mention the big blocks in the shots, i use them as markers for further scenerydesign. I will post soem more screenshots when i finish some more design.

greeting from the netherlands

Looks great indeed, I would only add some people to it. At the moment it looks a bit deserted.

Nice work, kinda reminds me of home...

Hey Damien nice to see you over here, we should make a Gold Coast scenery :D Just kidding, I know you're still committed to YBBN :D Would love the GC beaches in FS tho...

Have you had a chance to try photomapping the Brisbane Region under virtualvfr.com 's tutorials? The pictures aren't that great apart from using them to help design scenery...

Also there is a great shot of the domestic apron on airliners.net that shows the apron markings pretty clearly...

Sorry for the sidebar guys...

Hey again Damien great catching up with you....

On topic again... Nice to see a surfboard designed, I had thought about that as a design object just the other day... You beat me to it...

I love the way the beach looks best beach I've seen in FS to date...

I have a question, can you create conditions for the scenery in separate object libraries, or are the conditions only assignable in the scenery placement xml?

I'm curious about whether or not I can create autogen that has conditions to it... e.g. autogen beach umbrellas that are up in summer and down in winter, if that makes sense...

If I can code it into the MDL that would be great, but if the code only works in sequence with calling an MDL GUID's for placement in the BGL then my idea is moot...

Ohhh one example would be an autogen Drive In that only plays moving pictures at night, that type of thing...

That sort of conditions should be coded into the MDL file, so that should also work for autogen I would say. Unfortunately GMax does not allow it directly, so you would have to do some source code tweaking or you could try MDLTweaker.

oooh what's mdltweaker, I haven't heard of that yet ...

So in theory I could create autohibernating autogen bears.... COOL!!!!!

Thanx guys.

I will have a try to add some people drinking beers. Shouldn't be too hard i hope. I will have a look at mdltweaker, i might be able to make some conditions.

I will post some new shots real soon (i hope)
