Taxi edge (blue) and taxi line (green) over custom ground poly, how to do?

Hi guys, I'm working taxi edge and taxi line lights for my custom ground poly in FSX.

Without reinvent the wheel is it possible to use lights/effects already created?

I would place them via ADE to make blue edge taxi and green line taxi lights over my gp.

But using ADE I have a problem in placing correctly the lights, beacuse you can't see the background satellite image through ADE taxiway and runway (it's not transparent, or you can't render it).

Do you think it's better make taxi lights in gmax/max? here you can work easily over background image, but I'd need .X object lights.

So what solution would you adopt?

For runway instead I use the great AFLT, with great results!

You could, its a matter of imagination.

"I would" create an ADE line texture with a light map. Day texture you see the center line with the light fixtures in the off position, then create a light map with the light on. Id try this first. FSX light bloom display settings works great for this, no necessity for an additional effect.

If you want to take it one step higher, you can add ground reflection, but make sure that your daylight texture has a color on the reflection that blends well with the taxiway GP.

Do note, this would work for taxi lights, NOT runway lights. The taxi lights made using this method will be visible from a short distance, similar to real life.

BTW, my default runway lights work fine over a sattelite GP (not the case for FS9!)

Thanks David for reply.

I already did taxi lines with Max, I have only to place over the green lights and the taxi blue edge lights.

What do you mean for ADE line texture with light map?
