• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Thanks!

This week I've finally quit my job after too many years, and from January I'm going into full-time FS scenery design.
I have no idea whether it is possible to support myself this way, given the small market here in New Zealand, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.
I don't think I would have considered anything like this without the resources and help from SceneryDesign.org. When I make my first profit I'll definitely press the Paypal donation button:)
Thanks, Arno, and everyone else who contributes.

Congrats and my best wishes for you. Sounds like you've made your dream come true. Well...I'd enjoy designing scenery more, than sitting in an office without any windows. Yepp..it's true. My office has no windows. Well okay, it has...but the only thing you see is a warehouse. You won't even know what time of day it is, if there where no clocks... Okay..but I have lots of coffee. :D

Again: Best wishes and good luck.

Hi Robin,

Good luck with that move, I surely hope it works out for you. After I graduated I had played with this idea as well, but I did seemed too uncertain for me at that time (especially becuse I like to create tools, which have an even smaller market). So I am now designing scenery for profession simulators as part of my work, not a bad job after all :D.

It is funny that you thank me and this site, as I probably wouldn't been using GMax right now without the tutorials you wrote :). So you helped me out a lot there as well.
