• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

  • Transition Altitudes vary at least per country, it is not 10000' all over the world
  • Ability to plug in customized kneeboard pages which is typically used by Virtual Airlines
  • Panel editor
  • Allow users to edit the airport information. In most countries the City field is just totally wrong or not grouped by state/province. This should be possible without creating AFCAD for the whole world.

Hi Folks

  • Ability to plug in customized kneeboard pages which is typically used by Virtual Airlines
AFAIK this was a security consideration.
You should be able to workaround using an iframe.

  • Allow users to edit the airport information.
In most countries the City field is just totally wrong or not grouped by state/province.
This should be possible without creating AFCAD for the whole world.
Users can edit the airport information.

State data was only incorporated for USA, Canada, and Australian airports.
I think this was probably due to internationalistion issues,
Spellings would vary enormously, and possibly offend nationals of those countries.

I can provide a corrected dataset, (to ISO 3166 standard),
for -
- most of the world's airports,
or
- individual country's airports,
incorporating the state/province/territory data as required, (English spellings only).

Collated whilst creating the Visit Series rewards packages.

Unfortunately no matter what,
you'd still have to edit & release any modified AFX's, (AFCADs).

And how do I do that? I would like to correct the Panama airports so that they are grouped by City and State/Province rather than all listed as one.

Hi Folks

lordofwings -
Please find attached a CSV format export
of the 28 FSX default Panamamanian airports,
incorporating their appropriate State data.

Just add the State data to the AFXs, (using ADE).
FSX will then include the State data in the Go To Airports listing, etc.
