• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FS2004 Throttle to n2 question

Try this one. I'm told it works in FS2004. Sorry about the errors in 1504. Spaces are there to make it more readable but have no other effect.
Let me know what you find.
The turbine tables are not new and predate FS2002. They are called AIR_70 which means they date to FS version 7. FS2002 was version 8. FS2004=FS9 etc. I can see no reason why the rows/columns format should have ever changed since it was introduced, so I can see no reason why it should not work with FS9.

What I did Roy was to copy the 1503/4 tables over from the Lear and fs2004 loaded ok. I then put in all the correct numbers and it still loaded. However, I subsequently did a flight test and couldn't even get off the ground!
In spite of all the numbers in the tables being spot on I couldn't get more than 80% thrust at full throttle even though the table set SL max to 102%. So there's definately something weird going in in FS2004. I went back to two lines and performance was nominal.

However having just re-examined the txt file I've noticed a 61 instead of a .61 in the throttle percent column. So that's my fault.

Sometime later...........Just done a quicky up to FL380 and everything's perfect. Tomorrow I'll do a full auw flight.
Many thanks Roy for your help.
