• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.

Hi I have the newest version on my puter and want to use it on my laptop which is a HP Pavilion dv6-1134ca entertainment notebook using Vista Premium 64 bit with service pack 1. I've tried to transfer it from my computer via flashdrive then when it wouldn't work I tried to download it directly from this site, still it wouldn't work. I received a message "Unhandedle exception has occured in your application could not find the path C\program files\(x86)microsoft games\AIFP2127.ini" plus something about not finding path to repaints.
I've tried with my limited experience to get this program to work on the laptop without any success can anyone here help me out please. Robin 84

Do you have NET/Framework 3.5 or later installed?

C\program files\(x86)microsoft games\AIFP2127.ini" plus something about not finding path to repaints.
This error message suggests the program was not installed properly (there's no such file AIFP2127.ini). Under normal circumstances, there would be no reference to repaints unless you were installing same - and it would seem you haven't gotten that far.

I suggest you delete whatever you installed and re-install in accordance with the user manual. And, do yourself a favor. Install it on a drive other than "C:". Otherwise you'll have I/O permissions issue (nothing to do with AIFP, everything to do with Vista/Win 7).

Hi, I have Windows 8 and it works find. I've heard Vista might give problems in some situations. Did you check you firewall is not blocking the program? My tip is log in as an Administrator. You can activate the Adm log in by doing these steps.

1. Enable the Administrator Account

2. Open the command prompt with Administrative privileges by opening the Start Menu, and typing cmd in the search box, and then press Ctrl+Shift+Enter or click the Start orb, All Programs, Accessories, right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
Type the following in the command prompt and press Enter after:

3. net user administrator /active:yes
Restart your computer and logon as Administrator.

Note: You might want to set a password for the administrator’s account for at least a little protection.

If you get installed, set the security settings for Non-Adm(all access) when you log out of Adm. So you can update and use the program or you can stay as Adm and use it that way.

Good Luck :)
