• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Tutorials for FS & GSU

As people use this more and more, I would hope that some of them (you) will create some more detailed tutorials on various aspects....especially when it comes to going FROM GSU to FS...

I have seen and followed the one here already, and the results were not good. Pretty sure I messed something up, so about to do it again. If still problems, will post for help..

Some of the questions in this area already have little tidbits about how to do various things that will help in the models being in and looking best in FS... I hope these will find their way into short tutorials.. Some of us, I am sure, would greatly appreciate these.

Video tutorials are, for someone like me, the absolute best. I can read and look at pics, but actually watching someone do it live (video) cuts the learning curve in about 1000000 (for me anyways.) Especially if you can hear the person talking you through it. I have downloaded and watched every GSU video tutorial I have found so far, and I will say, I think my learning was sped up considerably... It is how I happen to learn best. See and hear.

As the tutorials come about (written or video) could they please be made into sticky's here for easier locating?

Arno has already one

It's very easy
export it to as .DEA with GSU 7
import that into ModelconvertX
- change out the texture to .dds files
- export it as .MDL.

You can place MDL with various programs like ADE
