• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Oh yeah i forgot to say...........i get my Longituted and latitude from FSX!

There are several ways of entering lat/lon in FSX Planner. You can choose the format that suits you best in the preferences dialog (loctaed under the file menu).

The debrid on your runway is the autogen, which the current version of FSX Planner does not remove. The next version of FSX Planner will be able to remove autogen. For some reason in FSX the exclude rectangles cannot remove the autogen. However, a program like SBuilder can do this for you now.

ok thanks russel because i was wondering why i would enter the correct latitude and longitude and it would wind up being in the middle of the paccific ocean:)........and if you can tell me if you know when the next FSX Planner is expected to come out that would be great......and if you can tell me what build it is :):):):):):):):):)

The current build is R28. The next version will not continue that sequence, as it is going to be significantly different. We don't have a release date yet as we want it to be right before releasing it. :)

Hi Russel...........
Your program looks fantastic and the interface is the best I have seen so far...Now,,, same thing happenend to me, I took the Lat-Long data from FSX and wound up in the Atlantic somewhere!!!!!!...I tried diferent settings and the same thing!!!!...but it was 1:00 AM so I quit.....will try tonight again hope it works this time:confused:

Pay particular attention to the -ve sign on any lat or long values as these will, of course, move the coordinates by 180 degrees.

Also, if possible refrain from using decimal degrees to input coordinates- There can be up to 50% error (in measurements etc) since degrees long are variable and degrees lat are constant (perhaps not such a big deal for airport design near the equator, but definitely something to be aware of for those of us at higher/lower lattitudes)
