• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v4 unable compile project

Vincent, these and some of the previous screenshots suggest Simconnect is not activating the files in DocumentPrepar3d v4 addons\AFLT for P3D or that those files are missing. Simconnect IS running the AFLT application because you see the "on/off" dialog. In P3D, the lights are controlled from that folder. That's why I asked you to delete that folder as well so that it could be regenerated. You didn't mention whether ore not you deleted it as well?

Did you include AFLT for P3D in the packages you sent to your friends? That folder is essential for P3Dv4..

I still don't understand how Calvert2 approach lights became ALSF. Did you make that change in AFLT but not save it? There's nothing wrong with doing so but it would help to know.

I've done about as much as I can with screenshots. To help you further, I need the files I requested above.

Don,
Yes, Don.

I put ”Documents Prepar3D V4 Add-ons\AFLT" Scenery and texture are copied to ZBSJ_5 folder separately, and effects, simobjects are packaged and sent to my friends separately and told to put them in the root directory of P3D, but not include XML folder, add_on.xml, AFLT (SimObjects). exe, Lockheed Martin. Prepar3D. SimConnect. dll.
ahhh, Should I send “AFLT (SimObjects). exe, Lockheed Martin. Prepar3D. SimConnect. dll.” together to my friends?

Yes, it only shows light with weak brightness. I don't know why
. I told you why. The data in the Prepar3d v4 addons\AFLT for P3d folder is not being executed.

AFLT places files where they are needed. Moving them somewhere else will result in what you are seeing, i.e., no lights. There is no need for you to copy anything anywhere. I have confirmed on my system that all your lights illuminate when the files are left where AFLT places them.

As for distribution to your friends, might I suggest we get this working on your system first. Perhaps you should also refer to the SDK discussions on PV4 Addons. Instructions for distributing your airport are near the end of the User Manual.

I'm sorry. I'm busy moving recently. I've been stable for two days. So please tell me which files should be packed and where to put when the airport is sent to others.

maybe,According to the user manual,“
Distribution of your airport with scenery-based lights does not require any special action
other than ensuring for AFLT’s effects are available. With simobjects-based lighting, you
need only copy the Add-on package, but your users may need instructions for setting up
the “user\Documents\Prepared vn\Addon Files folder.

Should I package and send all the files under the users \ Vincent Z \ documents \ prepar3d V4 add ons\ path to my friends and tell them to put this in the same path?

You need to send only the folder "users\Vincent Z\Documents\Prepar3d v4 Add-ons\AFLT for P3D". (AFLT for P3D may not be the only folder there. Other applications also use this folder.) You should also tell them where, exactly, to save it.

Thank you very much. According to your method, the lights of my friends are normal!

I also have an immature idea that it would be better if I could make the taxiway center line lights alone, because my taxiways are made up of one piece. If I use the default taxiway center line lights, strange shapes may appear. In addition, the combination of amber and green runway lights on the runway, as shown in the figure below, can separate from the runway lights.

You could place the taxiway centerline lights using apron edge lights instead and the 1,2,3 warning lights as individual lights. Of course, you'd have to delete all the unwanted taxiway C/L lights either using AFLT or ADE.

Yes, although this is possible, there is no model of taxiway center line lights in aftl, and it would be better if you could add a model of taxiway center line lights.

I have thought about that, but didn't feel it was worth the overhead since they would be barely visible in the daytime.

I think you'll find a green, "Surface" light will work well as a taxiway centerline light.

OK, thank you very much for your patience and guidance in this section
