• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

As of yesterday it appears that the newest version on the download site is still Version 27.

Am I mistaken?

You are correct. We have been incredibly busy with certain projects and have not had time to create the 27b installer yet. Hopefully we can get to it tomorrow though.

Thanks for your patience.

Thanks,
Got it.

Too bad I cannot use the update feature with Vista.
Has to be something with Vista security but what I do not know.

The update feature works on my other XP system on the same home LAN and using MS One Care on both.

Glad that you got the update!

I agree that it must be some sort of security issue. The funny thing is that I have successfully tested it on Vista. So there must be different security settings that affect the update process. Hopefully a solution will be found soon.

I have access to the RC1 version of Vista SP1 and after a full backup of my system and install of the Vista SP, I will try again. Apparently there are some security changes. Who knows maybe something will have changed to make it work.

I updated Vista to SP1 RC1 Build 6001 last night.

I tried the update feature using 27b but there was no change. It still could not connect.

Is there a way to track/debug the process to see where it is being stopped?

Can't connect either, but I'm using XP Pro SP2.

This must really be settings related.

What ports/settings does FSXPlanner use for updating?

Here's the logfile if it's any help.

Oh, and while we're at it, I'm experiencing terrible slowdowns while zooming and inserting excludes since 0.27/0.27b.

Any possible reasons for that?

Other than that, keep up the good work. :)

Port 8080 is used to connect to the server. Thanks for the log file.

I'm not sure why you'd get slow downs when zooming. We didn't make any changes to that part of the code, just panning and moving certain objects.

I first thought it was a JRE issue, but the problem persisted after an update.

Any chance to get a R26 installer somewhere?

And could you make the port freely configurable in the next release?
I think my router blocks it.
