• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Really nice.
Are you working with ground polys? Or Aprons + Painted Lines? If so...custom textures? are you getting any jaggy edges when using your own painted line textures?

Hi this are P3D screenshot, I think you are talking about msfs that we haven't started working yet. Yes we are using fully custom ground polygon and procedurally created PBR textures

Dhaka Airport Scenery Update

Hello simmers, hope everyone is doing well. After a bit delay, we are ready to bring you some solid updates (and tasty screenshots!) about the project. As a promise to you guys, to bring out the best, most realistic version of VGHS, we have been using this time to redefine our work flow, enhance new techniques and streamline the whole process and this will surely impact the speed at which we will release future products and updates, needless to say in a more efficient and timely manner.

What's New-
We are using substance painter industry standard PBR workflow to texture upto 80% of some areas in the airport. This means that all of the models will have accurate reflection and bump mapping.

Compatibility drawbacks-
Now for a bit of a bad news, unfortunately we are postponing the FSX version due to various reasons, namely poly count, texture res limit, not to mention the overall lack of resources to develop something for a sim that we at Final Approach Design Simulations and Deshi Sceneries reckon really has a muddy future. We are keeping resources, compatibility and future support reserved for P3D V4/V5, Xp11 and MSFS and X-plane 12 depending on its releases dates.

When will it release-
Now the big question, the release date, honestly we can’t guarantee an exact timeframe, but if everything goes according to plan, we are considering end of January or early February. Depending on that release, we will start working on the MSFS version which will be a completely different product with different workflow and quality but as we mentioned earlier, the time we took to redefine ourselves, that will surely impact the release of that version.

Hope you all have a great 2021
