• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I have a runway 09/27 which is 3191m long with a displaced threshold of 2096m on the primary.

It seems to display correctly in ADE (except that I requested no arrows)

But, in FSX, the threshold arrows run from 27 to 09 and the ident "09" is facing the wrong way

looks like it reversed rwy 9's info. not sure on that 1. id delete the rwy and redo it.
that or a compiler error is my initial thought.
or section 11.11 of the ADE manual mentions associated rwy markings.

Hmmmph I have no idea George unless there is some issue with the length of the offset threshold. Is there a point if you gradually reduce the length where the situation corrects itself? Maybe this is another piece of weird behavior we have not seen before?

I'll chalk it up to experience ;)

It isn't what I really want to do anyway :D

It is a FSX bug that George has found. I tested it also and seen the same thing. I don't know at what length it will correct itself but it is another weird behavior.

Thanks Jim

If we do find out the parameters for it then I will add a warning in ADE if they are tripped.

roughly anything around 47% the overall rwy length does this
10469 ft rwy with 5200 offset works fine. 5250 offset reproduces the error.
tried many lengths up to 20000 with 10000 offset, same error. but 20000 with a 9000ft offset does not.

Thanks for the feedback Kevin. I will add a warning message in ADE for that issue....
