• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

when available?

Hi Arno,

Any idea when CAT is available for the FS2004 Gamepack? I really need such a tool to trigger some animations, I can't make the code myself. It would be really cool if I can add it to the first release of my scenery. I'm waiting desperate ;)

If I would know I would already have posted it here :).

I just got back from vacation this week, so I hope to find some time soon to finish a beta version. But I can't tell a date yet, hopefully as soon as possible.

Maybe you can give a rough estimate, e.g. weeks/months. I know it is very hard to do that. But I need to choose if I wait for CAT to be compatible with the FS2004 gamepack or use the FS2002 gamepack for creating the conditional animations.

Sorry for being so troublesome and desperate

Hi Jorrit,

It is hard to tell, it depends on how fast the programming goes etc and how much time I have to spend on it (I am trying to do much to much at the same moment :)).

If everything goes well it should be possible to have it ready in a week or two, but it will probably take longer as other things get in between.

For now you can always use the Fs2002 gamepack. Then when the new CAT is ready you only have to re-export the object and run it through CAT again.

I can now tell you it took me 9 days since your question :D. The new version is here.
