WIN 7 64bit Problem to install SDK on remote computer

Hello everybody,

I am preparing a SimConnect master slave installation.
The previous installation worked quite good with Master Vista 32 bit / Slave XP 32bit

Now I have a new slave with Win7 64 bit.
SDK installation Sp1a and SP2 on slave was with no problems.
On the slave FSX is not instaled.

The files on master:

C:\Users[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX
C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files
C:\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X (your FSX folder)

are fully accessible from slave ( I can open, change and store a txt file in the above folders from slave)

When I run the ConfigSDK.exe I get the error report:
“Cannot find Microsoft Flight Simulator X installation path.
Microsoft Flight Simulator X must be installed, and must have been run at least once.”

I had no problem when I run the ConfigSDK.exe under XP. Now with Win7 64bit it does not work.

I presume that this has something to do with Win7 64bit.

Has anybody an idea what I could do?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Stefan

Sorry for bothering you,

I solved the problem.
I have run the wrong setup programm.
Instead of running ConfigSDK.exe I must execute
SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\lib\SimConnect.msi

After running this msi the Simmconect is possible.

Sorry again

Stefan
