I think the most challenging of airport scenery development is the jetway. The default jetway or CTRL-J is difficult enough but SODE jetway is more difficult. Jeffrey has been developed SODE to solve the problem of CTRL-J jetway; sinking wheels, no stairs option, improper movements, etc. So SODE jetway is the way to go. However the documents provided for SODE jetway is very difficult for the average users, including me. I spent a lot of time study on that. I personally think step by step tutorial is the must. This tutorial does not replace the information from SODE but to make things easier, bypass all the technical terms and understandings. Anything that has been written somewhere will not be repeated. Since the process of making it is quite long and I often forget something here and there. This tutorial will benefit you as well as myself to do SODE jetway as a check list on the process. I also add the troubleshooting section in case that you have poor results. Hope this tutorial will help you to do it easier.
Hi,
Once you are done with the ground poly by [http://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=Ground_Poly_Tutorial_for_the_year_2014%2B this tutorial]. You might wonder what is the next step. Yes! you need to build the buildings in the airport such as terminals, hangar. I think, personally, we can use the same file for the whole process. This tutorial is how to build the building using your reference plane and ground poly as the reference. I have made Beijing International Airport using this method and I think it is quite good. I would like to share this idea to anyone who wants to make big airport. It is also applicable to airport at any size.
I think the most used tutorial is the ground poly tutorial from [http://iblueyonder.com/ground-poly-tutorial/ Bill Womack]. It has been a while since he wrote this tutorial for us. There are a lot of new knowledge and tools to make it more accurate and easier than in the past. I would like to present this tutorial to be an add on to Bill's tutorial.

Something has changed such as the length of runway CANNOT be the reference anymore.
MCX has new tools such as Ground Polygon Wizard and Coordinate Converter that make life easier.
I have done it and separate into two parts.
Before working on this, please set up your Gmax for the best possible display. So you don't have the problem of pixelated satellite image in Gmax.
Please follow this link. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforu...rted-With-Gmax&p=759491&viewfull=1#post759491

== Part 1.[http://www.mediafire.com/file/c9b9gmxoiyq4c7v/How_to_make_high_detail_ground_poly_in_2014_part1.pdf] ==

Step 1. Get satellite image to Gmax and use Co-ordinate tool form MCX to make reference plane.

Step 2 Make Grid for use with reference plane.

Step 3 Draw runway and taxiway.

== Part 2.[http://www.mediafire.com/file/kpg52d7t86wf8e3/How_to_make_high_detail_ground_poly_in_2014_part2.pdf]==

Step 4 Make runway and taxiway edge.

Step 5 Make taxi lines.

Step 6 Export to mdl and convert into ground poly using MCX.

Try it and you will see how fast it could be done with less work load. I have finished seamless asphalt ground poly in about two hours in one afternoon.
Hope my tutorial can help you. Here are the files:
Hi,
Once you are done with the ground poly by [http://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=Ground_Poly_Tutorial_for_the_year_2014%2B this tutorial].
Once you are done with the ground poly by this tutorial.

Here are the tutorials.

== Part 1.[https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7596737/How%20to%20make%20high%20detail%20ground%20poly%20in%202014%20part1.pdf] ==

Step 1. Get satellite image to Gmax and use Co-ordinate tool form MCX to make reference plane.

Step 2 Make Grid for use with reference plane.

Step 3 Draw runway and taxiway.

== Part 2.[https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7596737/How%20to%20make%20high%20detail%20ground%20poly%20in%202014%20part2.pdf]==

Hi,
I'd like to present how to make 3d grass in FSX with Gmax and MCX. It is not difficult and you can get a very good frame rate with detail grass. It is not like the way you making individual tree. It is stack of planes in vertical with alpha channel that make you have illusion of connecting column of color that resemble to the grass.
Here it is: [http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/attachments/3d-grass-in-fsx-pdf.19315/ Download]

== Part 1.[https://www.dropbox.com/s/k9egxcikeul6jmx/How%20to%20make%20high%20detail%20ground%20poly%20in%202014.pdf?dl=0 Download] ==

Step 1. Get satellite image to Gmax and use Co-ordinate tool form MCX to make reference plane.

Step 2 Make Grid for use with reference plane.

Step 3 Draw runway and taxiway.

== Part 2.[https://www.dropbox.com/s/kxdlz6jydnvhvvb/How%20to%20make%20high%20detail%20ground%20poly%20in%202014-2.pdf?dl=0 Download]==

Hi,
I'd like to present how to make 3d grass in FSX with Gmax and MCX. It is not difficult and you can get a very good frame rate with detail grass. It is not like the way you making individual tree. It is stack of planes in vertical with alpha channel that make you have illusion of connecting column of color that resemble to the grass.
Hi,
I'd like to present how to make 3d grass in FSX with Gmax and MCX. It is not difficult and you can get a very good frame rate with detail grass. It is not like the way you making individual tree. It is stack of planes in vertical with alpha channel that make you have illusion of connecting column of color that resemble to the grass.
