• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Well the title says it all. I have been working on flight sim and especially ADE since around 2006. Now is the time to set aside these things. My private life with my family needs to take first place.

I want to thank everyone over the years who have used my software and contributed to it's development. There a long list of people - too long to list here but you know who you are.

As to the future the websites will stay up and I will still be around here primarily as an administrator of the forums but also as an occasional contributor to the posts and converstations

Meanwhile thanks again and I wish you all clear skies

No you can't Jon, You have 240 posts to go to 35000 ...... :D

Seriously, Thank you for your contributions to this forum and elsewhere.

Thanks Jon. You've helped me relate to the world, I think I've got it from here.

Thanks you very much Jon, I really appreciate all the work you've done on FS, not to mention all the great tools you've given us to develop it.

Thanks for what you have done. It meant a lot to me. I hope things are going well in your private life.

It comes to us all, Jon, but you've certainly earned your retirement! Thank you for all you've done and the joy you've given so many of us through your efforts. It's truly appreciated - and will be for several years more, I hope, until sim developments make it all completely obsolete. It's been a pleasure.

Times flies! Thank you verry much for your Work, Jon! and have Fun with your Free Time!

Thanks a lot for your ever lasting work and always helpful attitude, enjoy your life besides FS.
Is the FS2024 announcement the trigger?

Jon.

For people like you, who have accompanied the flight simulation over such a long period of time and have earned a lot of respect and recognition, there is a word for you in German: Urgestein!
Thank you for your posts, I always enjoyed reading them. Lean back and enjoy the time with your family. All the best :)

All the best Jon and thanks for all the support over the years!
Groundbreaking software/tools for many users will continue to be enjoyed for many years to come.

Greg

Saying "thank you" for all the work on the utilities that made FS9/X development life so much easier (back in the day) is well worth the yearly login on FSDev. :)

All the best and enjoy the retirement, Jon. You've earned it!

Thank you for all those amazing contributions and kindness given during the years to our community.

All the best,
Sergio Kauffman.
