• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Constructing a Hangar (Pay Job)

Hello,

I am looking for someone that can design a hangar for a 747 at Edwards AFB. I will pay this person if they can do the following things listed below:

  • Create animated doors that can be triggered to open and close on either side by separate Com frequency. (one side of the hangars doors are triggered by a different frequency to the other side doors)
  • Stylish Interior
  • Glossy Floor
  • Hangar Lighting to emit my 747
  • Once completed he/she is able to compile it in a package.

If you want to do this task, just leave a reply below and I will discuss the payment arrangements.

Cheers, :)

Now, what amount do you have in mind?

best regards,

Frank

Sir it completely depends on how good of a job you do.

There are two ways that I can pay you:

If you don't think Im a scammer then I will pay you once you have finished.
If you do think I'm a scanner then I can pay you in small amounts, after periods of time.

Either way of payment, you will still get the same amount. I will discuss the amount with the designer that I choose.

PS: All payments are in Australian Dollars.

Sure, so first choose your designer, then, just in case it is me ... tell me the amount for a perfect work. No other quality of work is in debate.

Mate I am going to wait around for some other people to look, but here is the amount that I have in mind:

Perfect = $140+ Australian Dollars

Regards,

Sir, with all due respect ... in this case I'd rather do it for free, provided this is a private/personal gadget that you have in mind. 140 bucks might be a lot for you, I have no idea about your age/social position/intentions etc. but in a commercial environment, this would require this job be finished within one hour. Blimey, I easily would agree, if I had the talents to do a perfect KEDW hangar within this time. OK, wait for the other contestants, maybe some of them are in more dire need of cash.
If no one snaps on to this job, I will reconsider.

Am I wrong or are you actually referring to FSX Acceleration KEDW?

BTW 1: Only one specific hangar at KEDW is used to host a 747. Do you mean this hangar?

BTW 2:
-Hangar Lighting to emit my 747 = impossible due to source code restrictions

Ok I get your point. I would like to pay he/she at least some amount in compensation for there time and effort that they have invested into making this hangar.

If the designer feels more than happy to do it for free; Then so be it. If they want to be paid. My point is either way I will be happy with it.

Now your first question. Yes I am referring to FSX Accelerations KEDW (Edwards AFB).

Your second question. Im not sure which hangar at KEDW is specifically designed to host a 747. Thats why I am looking for someone to construct me one. If possible could the designer place this hangar ontop of an existing hangar that I have marked on the map (shown/marked in red). So you will need to delete this hangar before you place the new one. If this can't be done just place it where I have also marked on the map (in yellow).

Cheers,

Now, your red mark refers to hangar 1623, which is the most southern end of so called 'contractors row'. Not a big problem to delete the existing one via a 'hide command' and place the new, enhanced one there.
In fact, if you get the mdl file, you could place it anywhere in the world, and a bgl-exclude, which makes prevailing objects disappear, is a more than simple line in your scenery config file.
Not sure if you are aware of the fact, that you are talking to the person who designed the whole base for FSX Acceleration/MSFS back in 2007.
Yes, I did it.
Please confirm only personal/private interest/usage, as I am not allowed to work this out for commercial purposes.

And, maybe a good idea: Donate the money to FSDeveloper.com
Arno is doing such a great job here and maybe could use it to cover his expenses.

My best regards,

What I had in mind was I need it for a Demonstration Team. So only 5-6 people will have it. Just a note that It WILL NOT be available for Public Download.

Just a note to Arno, for his fantastic work that he has done for fsdeveloper.com it continues to be a great source of information for fsdevelopers all around the world.

Roger, I have no current intention of making it available for public download. In the near future if it comes to it I will need your email to acquire valid permission.

PS: All credit to you, if put up for download.

Hi all,

@Frank
Hi, it seems you are a professional in terms of creating and programming. I already have created a shelter, wich has an animation to it. But I can't get the anim to work since i have no clue how to tell FSX (SP2) to use a certain frequence or how to prepare the anim under Gmax. Could you give me a hint or a link to a tutorial. I saw the tutorial about the jetways but that didnt help me coz it won't show how to import the anim into FSX. They do it with bones and stuff. Do i really have to use bones? I made my animation(the doors open and close) just by rotating the the pivot around its y-axis. I gues that won't work.
I would really appriciate, if you could give me a helping hand on that.

Many thanks in advance

Demon
