I'm currently using V1.05 and during the process of
upgrading several stock FSX airports to add parking, etc
I have often seen the "Add Vertex" help popup when
hovering my cursor over a "selected" apron edge or
boundry fence, however, I have not seen any way to
actually ADD a vertex. I can DELETE a vertex but on
that note "UNDO" doesn't. Once deleted, that vertex is gone!
Another feature I find I often would like, without resorting
to XML manipulation, would be to break a boundry
fence at some point(s). As I enhance various
airports I often add the surrounding road network
to some degree and often find roads that feed into
the airport running up against a boundry fence.
I'd like to break the fence at those points to
allow the road "access" without having to redo the
entire fence.
Also, along the "ADD Vertex" line, I sometimes inport
a FS9 AFCAD as a replacement for a stock airport
if the parking is complex. I bring in the fencing
from the stock airport but often there are areas
where the fence line needs to be adjusted or moved
a fair distance in one area but not others.
Since ACES seems to have gone to great strides to
make alot of curved fence areas, with many closely
spaced vertexes, it is a real chore to move those.
It would be advantageous to be able to either add
vertexes to be able to "expand" the fence in areas
or break it into several sections and move the necessary
areas that were split out.
So, that's my disertation on the vertex issue as I see it,
or would like to see it
Paul ( definately look into the "undo don't" )
