• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi all,

I have been trying to tune the default style of the forum a bit.

If you scroll down to the banner at the bottom you will see the text "Default style" at the left. If you click on it you can choose other styles. Please try the one called "FSDeveloper style". I'm not completely finished with tuning yet, but please have a look and let me know what you think.

It should be less bright, I tried to change the colours to be more similar to the old forum. Also I have changed the default font.
 
Let me check the fonts a bit more.

I have tuned the style a bit more and made it the default style now. Let me know if there are still wishes to improve things further.

Hmm, Im not seeing this banner you speak of. Is it limited to selct browsers? Im using IE8 right now.
 
The banner seems to have disappeared now. I know it was there because I changed the style using it but now I cannot see it.

I use Chrome.

Although the signature text is still difficult to read, the forum posts and menu selections are looking much better now...well done!

I also use Chrome and the bar is visible to me at the bottom of the screen.

I'm seeing a bar at the bottom of the page with "Contact Us - Help - Home - Top" in it but the option to change style is no longer there. I assumed that was because it is now the default style and the only option:

And there are no smilies !

I'll be dipped, I can't see it in either Firefox or IE 10. It's not in my preferences anymore either, must be an admin thing? :confused:

As in only the Admins can see it? I don't think that is right since other folks seem to have found it. In any case perhaps Arno will check when he has a moment.
 
OK I can confirm that I am seeing it only in Chrome. It is missing in Firefox and IE10

It is my browser of preference. I cannot mention how I feel about IE10 and Firefox is my backup. Anyway it should show in all browsers.
