• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

hey, just a question would you guys like to paint for the helo before it's released? ... the paintkit is quite ready in PSD format? ... I can post screenshots of the paint that you would do with the paintkit for you to see if it's worth it

Affirmative, sir :)

As I said earlier I have some livery in my mind for this beauty.

When you are done with the repaints also let us know, if you would allow them to be included into the pay-ware package with "no strings attached", meaning without expecting any returns.
"However your name will be credited in the manual/handbook of the package"

Please also read the attached instructions.
This paint kit will also be included with the actual package.

Please download the paintkit from here:

Also the example of spec maps as defined in instructions from here:

FOR PAINTKIT see previous post, also needed feedback about the new bump map;
do you guys think this dented bump is better or the previous one without any irregularities was better?

Very cool! I had my first flight at 15 on a CH-47 Chinook.

You don't really see Alouettes in the U.S, but always liked the airframe. I did see an Aérospatiale Gazelle at an airshow a few years back and seeing as it is based off the Alouette 3, it was great to see.

Looks great so far, looking forward to it!!!
Its an amazing helicopter.

I can't help but noticing the difference between the tailboom and the fuselage. The rivets on the tailboom seem to be in a much higher resolution than the rivets on the fuselage. I don't know if it is the same on the real helicopter, but the metal seems to be dented on the fuselage and smooth on the tailboom. I don't know, but it looks a bit strange.

Those are different sizes of rivets, 3 as I've made them ... the big ones on the main body are kinda like hooks, i don't exactly remember what they are called. If you look at the uper panel of the tail boom those are present but in less quantity.

And then on the tail there are smaller rivets and they are also present on the lower panels on the main body.

And about the metal I am still working on it's bump map ... it's not final yet

The irregular wrinkling bump map on the fuselage looks a bit repetitive to me, or I don't know what sort of flying you've been doing because airframe maintenance have some questions to ask...!

Soo nice! Would love to create the Dutch 'Royal Blue' livery, but I've priorities. Anyway, downloaded the paintkit (though I'm not a repainter )

I think maybe a less extreme bump map might be the way to go? Completely smooth looks a bit too factory fresh, but the level of distortion in the bump map you did show was more like what you see on a Sea King tail boom at take off rather than during normal operations. I feel your pain though, I frickin' hate doing bump maps, I can never get the exact effect I'm after!

no problem, i'll try to do many when the project gets completed.

it all depends on the paint you are doing. I would probably have less bumpy textures for the tail and the body if i have a matte look to it, otherwise you need it to support the shine.

I think your progress is looking amazing. Im not much of a painter myself, but I'm going to give it a try and see what comes of it. Mskhan, I know I've mentioned it in the past post, but please tell me you would consider adding a model with the wheel ski's. I would love to see an Air Glaciers model or any model with skis. Thanks Xmedic!

Most probably will do once the VC is complete.
