• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v2 Alouette 3

When you are done with the repaints also let us know, if you would allow them to be included into the pay-ware package with "no strings attached", meaning without expecting any returns.
"However your name will be credited in the manual/handbook of the package"

Please also read the attached instructions.
This paint kit will also be included with the actual package.

Would you eventually also share the external model** ( not ready I guess ) to check the texture allignment?

Thanks

** just the Mdl file and current aircraft.cfg

I can spare a different model MDL file for texture alignment :)

Hint mskhan: use water textures for bump maps: https://www.google.nl/search?q=water texture&hl=nl&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=I5BpVOe6NIPYaozLgvgC&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ
Gives a very nice effect, I used it on my Fokker.

Of course, desaturate the texture. Then, fade the texture away at the rivets, where in fact metal is clamped. Also make the water texture alsmost invisible (very low opacity).

Can you post a screenshot of it where it is quite visible? the effect?

There you are: first a shot of the bump-map before normalmap conversion.

Then one in FSX, showing the wheelcap. The same thing is shown in the texture pic above, with a part of fuselage plating as well.

as i was busy in painting gauges, i wondered if anybody wants i can upload the PSD format for each gauge (512x512px) here. here is a preview

Very tidy! Photoshop is really good for drawing these since it handles type so well. Did you have to hand-draw any of these numbers? I found matching typefaces on vintage gauges a tedious business but occasionally there was no option.

i used font MS 33558 (Military Spec 33558), most of these gauges are hand-drawn ... yes photoshop does really make life easy!

Hello. I'm really impressed with this wonderful helicopter. It is one of my favorite helicopter.
During time I saw them working on mountain and I always like the alouette helicopters... sound, silhouette... If you have no problem, I would like to work some development with textures.
