• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSXA Airbus A350 XWB

That's good but I was sure looking forward to some paint.

Yes, well I found that developing sometimes is more fun when you just do what you want to do whenevr you want to do it... though it obviously isn't very efficient :P And UV-unwrapping is quite frustrating sometimes....

I know what you mean. For me when the exterior is close to done I get excited about seeing it in the SIM with the added improvements of a nice texture with bump map.

Yeah well should also UV unwrap somewhat... Perhaps I'll make a bit of a combination of the two so the unwrapping also comes allong slowly....

Tempting to do, but I still need to learn a whole lot before I can propperly do this...

My sentiments exactly. Not the most efficient way but a hobby is suppose to be fun right? :)

Can anyone contact the cabin, tell them we're ready for diner... oh wait the phone hasn't been made yet (most arwfull joke ever?)

The way I think I'm gonna make the cable of the phone (or intercom) by making a lowpoly wire (like 5 verts make a circle) and use physics to lay it in there (need to work out the details a bit) and then just apply it so it's "frozen"in there :)

and I got the bolts in, they're at what I think is the minimum amount of verts to make them, altough that ofcourse is open to argument...
