• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

TooltipID changed in exported model

Hi,

Wait, I think i found it. If I export the model again with the first custom definitions, the numbers change. So I think I have a way to reproduce the bug now in a small test case. I'll try to fix it.

Hi Arno,

I wish I did the model myself, but I didn't. The model is the Flight1 Islander (they have kindly allowed me to modify it).
Yep, you are right : the issue occurs when exporting custom mrecs
I wanted to isolate the pitch lever, but the custom mrec went awry at the export, so it would have been of little help.

Thank you for investigating on that. Keep us updated about your findings.

Hi,

I think I have found all the bugs now. At the moment my build server is down, so it might take a few days before the new development release is out.

Thanks for the feedback, happy to hear that.

Oh boy! Thank you so much Arno!
But no excuse anymore to postpone my project!

Hi Arno ,
But unfortunately for me when I try to export the A2A Cessna 172 interior MDL .The tool tips still show incorrect in FSX . For example , the left and right fuel tanks and a few more gauges on the upper left corner of the VC panel have changed to " rudder " when I point the mouse to them after I have exported the model .
Best regards ,

Hi,

I'm afraid I can't do much with such a report. Are you using the latest build? Can you reproduce it with a more simple object? Because debugging with a very complex aircraft is very hard to do. And I do not have the aircraft model mentioned either.

Hi Arno ,
Firstly , Please accept my appreciation for the great tool that I am allowed to use because without it FSX is not that fun . After solo flying the A2A Cessna 172 for quite a while . I thought that it would be more fun to have one or two beautiful passengers to share the cockpit and that is why the conversion is needed .
Yes , I use the latest build of the tool for the conversion of the model . And because it is very complex as you have mentioned that it did not perfectly convert . I have also tried to convert the FSX default cessna 172SP and it converted perfectly .
Best regards ,
Minh .
