• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FS2004 Boeing 747 Classic

The model is now in the sim. There is a tagging issue with the right flaps that I forgot to fix in this screenshot, but other than that, the model has been working beautifully. I will have to adjust alpha maps and add sine reflection maps as well, and finalize some missing items like the missing cockpit section.
 
This so great! When will it be released? And I hate to ask, but are y'all considering a CF6-50 model with tape engine gauges😅? Can't wait to try it out!
 
I really cant give an accurate answer as to when it will come out, as software development isn't exactly the most linear thing to predict.

CF6-50 and tapes are a feature that will be after the initial 1.0 release, mainly due to lack of information regarding the CF6s compared to their PW counterparts. The RB211 is even more allusive in terms of information, and I would need an engine manual specifically from RR to accurately simulate the fuel controller, as unfortunately even 747 AMMs for RB211s dont describe it in detail.

The PW is the 747 classic's engine model, super iconic. CF6's would just be a fun addition nothing more:).

I've got a full 747 classic maint doc package, including AMM, SSM, WDM, FIM etc. I believe all three engine variants. Let me know if you're interested😁!

That would actually be useful, I only have the AMM. The WDM in particular would be useful, for wiring simulation purposes
 
Looks really great! It is like a trip back in time - reminds me on the countless hours that I have spent with the programming of the RFP 747 systems and gauges a very long time ago.
