• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Aircraft too fast, aircraft too slow

Maximum take-off power, its the maximum power at maximum RPM, in a certified airplane engine, the engine should be capable to handle that power for 5 minutes before blow up the pistons. So, you need to match the maximum power at maximum RPM. I don't remember if PW R1340 has a gear reduction box...

    Losing altitude on banking.

A real airplane tends to slip to "inside" during a turn, Try to read something about coordinated turn to reach a reallistic result.

Animated objects turns dark/black when imported from Blender

Thanks! Selecting all polygons and set normal from faces solved the problem.

Animated objects turns dark/black when imported from Blender

The material goes black no matter what format I export, and when I put the textures on the object, the texture remains darker than the rest of the plane This is what looks when i put the texture This is just before the import What im doing wrong?

Using ModelConverterX to convert FS9 Models to P3D v4

sometimes the animation movements are too fast in the simulator, can be a math error. <Sim> <Variable>RUDDER DEFLECTION PCT</Variable> <scale>-1</scale> <Units>percent</Units> <Bias>50</Bias> </Sim> look how the variable has the PCT...

FSX Making a repaint: How to create a separate layer with the grey details?

you can try the inverse way, blend the colors layer over the white texture layer with the details, tweak the opacity and "fill" to get a best result.

FS2004 Hint needed to animate a float system

so, its possible if you rotate and translate every polygon, maybe if you tweak some group of faces you can make looks like the object are inflating and you can use a custom visibility with the inflating object and one for the inflated object

    Cessna 150

Start with 2d xml gauges, make the code work as you want, that way, you will not need to mess around with the 3d model when you want to test the gague in the sim. Working with the 2d xml gauges, you don't even need to restart the sim, just restart the aricraft.

FSX:SE Animation only works in exterior model

isolate the part in exterior model, and save as x file, open the interior model, delete the non-animated part, and merge with the X file?
