• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi, I have a simple question. Are there any 3rd party 3d grass addons for ADE? if not then how would you make some?

I dont know if there are any for ADE. THis is a sketchup subthread.

I know there are libraries of 3d grass. Some payware, some free. Not specific to ADE but any 3d object placement tool in most cases.
 
Cool. At the moment I am using just trees to make my airports look realistic. Actually until the other day, I thought that you needed ADE libraries to work in ADE. Then I discovered that you could use any library. This now means I can go on a hunt for some grass which was designed for something like EZ-Scenery and still be able to use it in ADE. You learn something new everyday!

Yes all libraries should work, even if they say they're designed for Rwy12, EZ-Scenery, Instant Scenery, etc.
 
I know this is a bit off topic from the thread post. But you know the airport background polygons? I am trying to use SBuilder, but I can't seem to install it. It says that there is something missing when I run the SBuilder.exe. Any help?
 
Well, we'd need to know what OS you are running, and the exact wording of the error message. Then we'll ask if you have done a web search for that error message.
 
I have started a new thread on this problem under Scenery Design-Terrain Design, Ground2k4 Sbuilder Sbuilder X. There should be all the details needed there.
