• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

A puzzle

Here's a head scratcher. Not a problem I need solving but I thought it might be of interest. There is a specific small mountain top airport (2NC0) in North Carolina that is nothing more than a single landing strip in FSX. I've been there myself and I thought I would use Scruffy Duck's Airport Design Editor to add a simple apron with some parking spots.

Ever since FSX crashes when I fly near it! Really...even slewing. Using the same plane and same FSX display settings I could fly elsewhere for as long as I liked but not there? So I deleted my ADX modification, reverting to the stock landing strip, and the sim still crashes at about 15 miles from the landing strip.

Seems I've created a Bermuda Triangle?

Since this is not related to the FXEditor tool I moved it to a better forum.

Any message when it crashes that might help to understand the cause?

Sorry....wasn't sure where to post. I searched for fsx crashes, not paying attention to what forum I was in. Could you tell me where you moved it?

Anyway, the screen goes black and a message reads Microsoft Flight Simulator has stopped working. What puzzles me is I've flown there before because it's a challenge for me in the high mountain terrain, As well as there is very nice golf club community up there I was hoping to recreate with ADE using a Google Earth aerial. But as soon as I compiled and added the apron and parking changes it began.

No big deal....got more important things to do anyway. Just thought it was interesting.

After seeing a post about this airport elsewhere...it very well may have been one of your posts...I decided to fix it up with ADEX and try it out. I didn't put the slope in it, but I did add the golf course greens, apron, water traps and sand traps as well as the clubhouse. No issues flying there, taking off, or loading up there for me.

I realize that doesn't help you with your issue. Perhaps you have two 2NC0 sceneries competing for display. Did you let ADE do the default naming, 2NC0_ADEX_XXX.bgl? Where did you place the bgl? Have you searched for "2NCO" and seen how many files and folders your OS search engine finds?
