• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

About Market Payments

Hi everyone.

I would like to ask you a question about Microsoft market, Orbx and Simmarket. While these three markets pay their partners every month, do they postpone the payment to the next month when the amount is below a certain amount? So is there such a system? For example, my sales in the Microsoft market were very low in August. Can he postpone the payment for another month instead of being on time because it is below a certain level?

And I have another question: Under normal circumstances, do these three markets make their payments to their partners regularly and on certain dates?

Thank you in advance for your answers. It is very important for me.

MSFS Marketplace has no minimum payout. Payments are on the 15th of every month.
When I was talking with ORBX, they had a $500AUD minimum for payout to reduce transaction fees. If you meet this amount in sales each month, you would be paid out, if not, I believe it rolls over to the next month (I don't know their payout date, as I opted not to sign with them).
I cant speak for Simmarket as I have never reached out to them.
Additionally, I'll throw in flightsim.to: no minimum - payout is not usually a fixed day, but usually within the first week of the month (At least for PayPal payouts).

Minimum payouts are usually pretty rare. ORBX is the only one that I have talked with since I started doing payware back in FSX that has had a threshold to meet. I can't speak for other larger publishers such as JustfFight or Aerosoft.

Hi everyone.

Yes, many marketplaces, including Microsoft, Orbx, and Simmarket, have a minimum payment threshold. If your earnings for a given month are below that threshold, they may hold the payment and roll it over to the next month until you reach the minimum amount required for payout. This system helps reduce transaction costs and streamlines the payment process for both parties.

Regarding your second question, generally, these marketplaces do make payments regularly and on specific dates, as long as your earnings meet the required threshold. It's always a good idea to check the specific terms and conditions of each platform, as payment schedules and minimum payout amounts can vary.
