• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Is it possible to add the green texture for use on aprons that is paint over many aprons around the world now?
Thanks, Paul

I can do that for the next release. In the interim, you could add your own texture.

I find it pretty easy to use the ADE Grass apron texture for that. Just leave a hole in your ground polygon of that shape, if needed.

I have just posted ADE-GP Development Release 2.2.23.4 to http://stuff4fs.com. It is identical to 2.2.23.3 save for the addition of the following textures:
  • gp_Green_20F.bmp (for painted runway and taxiway shoulders),
  • gp_TwyShoulders_Backed_100F.bmp (almost identical to gp_TwyShoulders_100F except for line backing)
  • gp_Bushes.bmp
  • gp_Grass.bmp
  • gp_Flowers.bmp
  • gp_Sand.bmp
in 24-bit format (Textures_Dpy) and DXT1 or DXT3 format, with and without mipmaps (Textures_Mipped and Textures_NonMipped respectively). You'll have to extract then from the relevant folders and add them to your ADE Textures_Dpy and Textures folders.

Please check and confirm that gp_Green is a suitable shade for general use. If more than one shade is necessary, I can add a couple more if provided with color samples. As noted, gp_Twy_Shoulders_Backed_100F is similar to its predecessor (which remains). However, it was necessary to shift the previous image a few pixels right to accommodate the line-backing. So, direct substitution for its predecessor may require a little touchup. The remaining textures were initially created for my own use but seem generally applicable.
