• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

ADE 1.55 Issue with Library Objects

Jon: I got around the issue by reinstalling .4790 and applying the update. It worked as expected. Something must have been wrong with .4798.

Anyway, stock data (waypoints/navaids/approaches/coms/nearby airports etc.) load :). The only issue I found was the ability to duplicate information. For example, if the airport in question has comm frequencies and you load comms and nearby airports, the airports comms will be duplicated in the load list. Not sure how this might impact the airport, I haven't tested, but thought you should be aware.

Jon,

I click "About" from menu top. I noticed your copyright 2007-2011. Maybe you need new date as of today 2013. change to 2007-2013. LOL! Just reminder you.

Thanks,

Stuart

I will check - it should not do that but........ I don't think that will cause a problem if it is not comms for the actual airport but it is not right.

Thanks Stuart :o

comms for the actual airport

The actual airport comms duplicated. I can't remove the imported comms, but I can remove the original comms data. Anyway, thanks for looking into it.

If you use Tools > Remove Stock Data what happens to the stock (imported) comms entries?

If I use the remove stock data (comms) they're all removed.

Another observation: The import comms did not duplicate all available frequencies - only some. In this example, KIAD has 12 stock freqencies; 3 approach, ATIS, clearance, two departure, two ground, two tower and a UNICOM.

When I use the import stock tool, only 6 comms are duplicated. Three approach, clearance and the two departure frequencies.

I will try and do some tests with KIAD today. Does it work correctly when you load KIAD from stock. Are your tests being done with a Bgl file loaded first and then importing stock data?

My test is with a bgl file. It contains some stock info including the local airport comms. I save the file as a .ad3 and load the stock comms/nearby airports data.

No duplication If I load up a stock airport and load stock comms.

Can you send me the Bgl file please?

Thank's for 4800

Please start ADE and you should be offered a new update - 1.55.4800. This contains a fix for the problem related to loading stock data.

I have just started to rebuild my airport to fix my Glideslope problem and could not import stock data . 4800 did it.

Thank you Jon:o
