• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 ADE 2020 Alpha 21 HotFix 2

This is largely to do with the code loading the XML Source. Not every element is decoded and loaded so far. I will run some tests on your xml to be clear the one that is losing elements is CYVR_added_data. XML? Is this the one you are creating the project from?

in that case was what is the other one? The one you got from decompiling the XML.

CYVR_added_data.xml is the file that I added all the missing data to. It is the final xml I use to compile the project. It contains data that is missed from the ADE XML when creating the project.

And yes, the other one is solely just what I got from decompiling the XML.

As a side note, the reason why this is important for me is that it's the difference between modifying stock vs custom scenery (especially payware). I've already edited one payware airport (with permission from the devs ofc), and its not impossible but it gets very tedious when I have to keep track of which things ADE decompiler misses. That said, ADE is still a much better program for editing sceneries than what Asobo provides in my opinion so I do hope to for continued development!

There is no Compile button. You need to use File > Build Project

Good morning, I want to compile and transform my Fixpoints created with Little Nav Map (xml file) into mods for FS2020. unfortunately the conversion does not take place because the xml version of little nav map is version 1 while version 2 of xml is required

Sorry but I am not sure what you mean. Are you trying to import an xml file into ADE and it is failing? If so can you post the xml. It has to be in a specific format.
