• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

ADE Basics - Videos by Mark from Soarfly Concepts

Thanks so much for taking the time to make these videos. With your permission I would like to move this thread to a sticky in the ADE Forum :)

Hi, have you been able to create Ground Polys with P3D material settings directly off of ADE, without the MCX GP wizard work around?

Are you sure that EGNT has a new runway additional? I can't see Google Earth Map last updated imaged in 2019. You just made it up to a new runway for yourself?

Marc,
I am a newbie to ADE, and I have watched all of your new videos. Thanks very much.

I would find it very helpful if you would indicate if the feature(s) you are putting into a project (e.g., your work on the Manchester airport in Part 4) is for AI aircraft. For those of us who do not use AI aircraft, knowing this would simplify things. Of course, we could also read the excellent, if slightly dated, instruction manual that comes with ADE.

Thanks again for all the effort you took to make these videos, and keep them coming--please.

FINALLY FOUND THIS! For anyone else sifting thru these forums to solve this conundrum, I was unable to figure out how to rotate textures inside the GP poly editor in ADE.

Mark demonstrated this in Part 2 of his video series (right about 24 minutes in). Thanks Mark, I have watched these videos a dozen times, and just noticed this.

It was maddening, having concrete square-ish textures that are rotated the wrong way. Much better now, I think.
