• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

I started this one going on two months now. Most parts including rotor I had saved a few years back before attempting to start this one and here we are. My goal is to reproduce all single engine variants with the twin version later down the road. For the meantime, I'm the only one working on this until my team mates free up some of their time to join the party😁 Will be for P3DV5 and V6 only, I can however offer the sources to anyone wanting it in MSFS or X-Plane if they so desire.

FS2020/24 have been nothing but headaches for me and developing for those platforms are quite different and very complex. My teammates and myself only use P3D as our main platform of choice for developing
 
First export of the AS350D version with high skids. So far, so good. Since there's going to be plenty of options, I haven't decided which route I am going to take with this one. External models are almost done, then I can dive into interior work. I'll probably offer two different interiors, analog and VEMD and it'll be identical meaning analog for early versions and VEMD for later versions.

Slowly creating the interior which will have analog and VEMD options, like the real deal. I haven't decided which route I'm going to take with this one regarding the FDE, options, etc.

Funny you mention that. My painter has V4 and this model with full PBR including clearcoat and doubled sided thin materials (glass), it will work in V4 😁
 
I opted to use xmltools to add persistent data on this project. One model, endless possibilities when it comes to different configurations. I originally wanted to use the title string to create the different configurations with the help of @tgibson , but @Hiroshi Igami discovered that particular variable when used is broken in the latest Windows 11 25H2 and he used a different method to create his configurations on his models. There's plenty more to do, but not a whole lot, hopefully a release by early next year. All work tested in P3DV5, but will work in V4 and V6

I have begun the process of compiling all models, plus fine tuning the sounds, FDE, VC lighting. One feature I added is flexible blades. They will flex based on airspeed, vertical speed, collective pitch. Other features added include Squirrel cheeks, cargo pods and utility baskets. I'm aiming for a base release early in the year with other variations planned thereafter. Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year

My latest on this project is the internal and external audio. This will be the first time using distance and cone effects on any of my project and I think they came out pretty good. I'm having an issue when the engine transitions from flight idle to low idle, it doesn't seem to work for me. If anyone pretty well versed in P3D sound configurations knows of a solution, send me a shout. Many, many thanks goes out to @antaris for providing a base for me to work with over the years.

 
Slowly getting there for a V1 release as this will be in continuous development, adding different variants (police, medevac, TV, etc). The B3/H125 won't be part of this release since I have to model the specific engine controls and panel for that variant. Has anyone successfully used XMLTools in P3DV6? The persistent gauge doesn't seem to work, so I'm not sure if LM broke functions with that platform causing XMLTools to not work (on my end)

Will the taxi/runway light(s) illuminate the runway at night in P3DV5.4? Some of the other aircraft do and some don't. Don't know why that is. Maybe something the developer(s) did or did not do to
effect this issue.

Sure will and is all custom made effects, including landing/taxi lights

Another variant added, the Soloy AS350RM AllStar and took me only a day from modeling the cowling to mapping/texturing and using the existing paintkit with slight modifications. The livery shown is based on a real life example and represents the very first Squirrel I got to fly in back in 1997. I'm hoping for an initial release in about a month or so, depending on my real world schedule, work and dad duties.
