• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

AIFP 3.2.06 (i)

NP. What I've noticed is a few people are installing AI Traffic packages like WOAI and My Traffic 6 using the new addon method. It's easy to remove the SimObject component from add-on.xml and put it in simobjects.cfg. Thanks again.

If you have your AI in the SimObjects (I have a seperate subfolder for AI and added that to the P3D.cfg), AIFP (in the P3Dv4 mode) will look for them there or if not, you can choose the path towards it.
Do you have the 'j' version?
If your aircraft are red then you have to click on them and show AIFP the path to them.
I am old fashioned. What works I do not want to change:).

Hi Don,
Coming a bit late on this topic, and finding some information already about my recent problem...
I have numerous freeware aircrafts installed, but outside of the P3D folder itself, and I am heavily using the various .cfg files (amongst others the simobjects.cfg of course) to tell P3Dv4where to find 3rd party aircrafts, gauges, sounds, effects, scenery, etc...
Recently decided to check P3D4 stock aircrafts traffic file, as I know from former versions that there are duplicates, and even triplicates of some flights (same aircraft, same D and A airports, sames times, just different registrations, and sometimes two same birds one flying VFR, the other IFR). I altered or deleted 255 flightplans, but using AIFP (j) version, which knows where to find the stock aircrafts, whereas (k) version showed all stock aircrafts red in the aircrafts list, but knew where to find my AI, MP or addon aircrafts (all located into a separate folder, namely P3D_Externals on my system, paths declared into the simobjects.cfg file) if I wanted to substitute...
So far will remain with (j) version, looking for your coming development releases.
And again thank you for this very useful tool!

Phil, this was reported yesterday in another forum. I have discovered and fixed the cause and will be releasing another development release shortly.

Don

No worries, Don...
Will look for your next version release.

Latest version meanwhile downloaded, and working ok.
Thank you Don
