• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS AIFP MSFS Importing fictional airport

Hi,

Can someone tell me how to bring in (import) a fictional (addon) airport (MSFS)?

I have tried collect Airport data add-on menu and it find nothing.

TIA

Collect Airports is the correct function. But please note using the Airports/Use Active Add-on Airport Data from Target Version option will collect add-on airports "on-the-fly" for one-time use.

However, upon checking the Collect Airports code, I discovered the section related to collecting MSFS2020 add-on airports was blank, i,e, never implemented. That would certainly explain what's happening to you. Leave it with me for a few days.

Thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated!

Hello again,
I have managed to make some flight plans, and got them working! 😁

I'm over the moon 🤗🤗🤗

For this test I backed up the default traffic file that came with MSFS, and compiled my flight plan using the default MSFS location and default filename.

My reason for that was because I wasn't sure what settings to use in the sim, or where to save my file to.

I have the sim set for off-line A.I. traffic, and reduced the amount of parked aircraft.

If I save the compiled file in my community folder is there a special way to do this? Do I need to use certain path or folder name etc?

Many thanks for your help and a fantastic programme that will bring my airport to life!!

Regards

Steve

Finally got around to completing my A.I. plans, and wow! Does exactly what it says on the can!

Brilliant programme.

Just need MSFS to correct their side of A.I. as the A.I. planes get to the hold point and do a slo-mo 360° pirouette whilst waiting 🤣🤣🤣
