• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Aircraft Gets Disconnected From Multiplayer Servers

Hello Everyone,

As few of you know, I have been working on a sizable upgrade of the Acceleration Hornet. I have run into a little problem.

Over the past few months, I and others have noticed that my Hornet will cause disconnections from multiplayer (GameSpy) servers after about 4-6 minutes. The user will get the message "Host has cancelled their session" but the session was never cancelled. Time after time, I will try to connect to the same server, or other servers, and will get similar results. If I connect to my own server, however, I do not have any issues. I know the server hosts aren't booting me. Not sure what the deal is. Has anyone else run into similar issues with their aircraft in multiplayer, and if so what did you do to remedy the problem?

Also, my aircraft always starts "cold and dark" with no fuel. It doesn't just happen for me, but for others when they install the aircraft. Does anyone know where to go to adjust the state of the aircraft so that it is up and running and fully fueled when the simulator is first started?

Thanks again.

Happens a lot ... not to just you :(

I suspect the disconnects are caused, because your plane is flooding UDP packets.

Try joining the FSMP MP server ( FSMP on Gamespy ), and try to catch me there. ( FSMP-HOST)

I will be able to tell you why you are disconnecting from my server, which is most likely the same reason you are disconnecting from the other FSX MP servers you have tried (over the Internet)

You might want to initially connect to the server with a stock MS FSX aircraft, and establish communicons with me (if I am there), before jumping in with a plane that most probably will disconnect, before you can say much !!

Hey Geoff,

With the software and capability you have installed on your server to analyze the packets being transmitted by players, I was wondering if you have ever taken a look at the Captain Sim C-130 Hercules?

It is a great aircraft in my opinion, but unfortunately, we have trouble doing any type of shared cockpit operations with it despite having great internet connections. I suspect packet flooding is to blame.

If you have investigated the packet issues surrounding this aircraft, can you please tell me what is needed to remedy the issue? If you have not, is it possible for us to schedule a meeting time in your FSMP server so we can do some quick troubleshooting (similar to what we did with the FSXBA F/A-18)?

As usual, any and all help is welcomed and greatly appreciated.

No Problem.

Catch me on the FSMP server one evening, and we can easily figure out what is causing the flooding :)

In Multiplayer, the CS C-130 floods COM UDP packets, from the radios, if they are turned off !!.

Solution is to Pause, and soon as you enter a MP session, and the make sure you turn on BOTH VHF COM Radios, before you unpause.

CS will need to be the ones to correct this, and it appears the problem is originating from a compiled .GAU file.
