• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

IMPORTANT

This is a full release. The version of SDE in this release is a new one tuned to the needs of ADE. It is not for use with SDE TestApp or Bgl2Xml so please don't try and use it. This needs to be installed in a new folder away from any previous version. You can copy your settings.ini file across but do not copy airportList.dat across. This file will cause a crash if you try to use it. You will therefore need to scan your airport list again. Please read the Notes file.

IN THIS VERSION

(1) Fix for taxiway scramble (I hope :) ) A bug was eventually found and this version contains the fix. You should not now see scrambling.

(2) Rotate Airport View. You should now ve able to use the mouse wheel to rotate the view. Use the Ctrl key for coarse rotation and the Shirt key to fine tune

(3) Hold Short Limits. Hold short nodes need to be within a certain distance of the runway edge to work. To check your hold short nodes use the View > Hold Short Limits option and you should get a red limit circle around the nodes. Turned off by default.

(4) a number of other small fixes. Most of the stuff is under the hood with the changes to the engine.
