• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I was curious if anyone else has this issue. I updated a local airport to make it closer to the actual airport. I used ADE to build the bgl in FSX Acceleration. The airport looks great, I am delighted with it. However, all my other airports in that region have disappeared. The hangars are there; and the flat areas for the runways all show, but the tower views are gone. Also you can not select the airport from the the airport options to start a flight. When I replace it with the original bgl, all goes back to normal, but of course I lose the updated airport. It compiles fine, installs without issue otherwise. I am lost on what to do, and I can't find any forums that cover this issue. Any help or ideas are appreciated.

A few issues with your post. There is no MSFS Acceleration. Also, Why are you replacing anything with the "original" bgl?

You should zip up your ADE project and attach it to a post, or upload it to a cloud storage and give the link in a post. Then someone could actually find the problem and help you with it, instead of wasting time guessing about what went wrong.

Sorry my bad, in the forum at avsim I was told that Microsoft changed the name of FSX to MSFS. I didn't mean to be a bother. I will figure it out myself.

Hi. It’s nothing like FSX. A whole different world and set up. You don’t touch the BGLs supplied. Simply place your built project in the Community folder and MSFS loads it after the default BGLs and stock providings. You need to read up on how MSFS developers place their stuff. Having said this and you follow putting your airport into the Community folder, the old airport may still show up as you need to close the old one because you’ve moved it. I might be wrong but you should try first and see if there’s 2 (assuming you used the same ICAO. There’s plenty of help in these forums to tell you what to do and where to place stuff.
Hope this helps
